ball finally focus good ground key might seem time toughest
That is the key. The toughest thing sometimes is getting that ground ball, and they seem to get the ground ball. They might give up a hit. They might give up a walk. But they finally get that key ground ball when it's time to focus in. It's a good thing.
besides body calming focus plate reason step type
The one thing I didn't want to do was get into any type of jumpiness, ... Any type of anything in my body besides just focus on the baseball. And it's pretty calming to step into at the plate in that situation. I have no idea, no reason why.
broken consistent focused great job leg missed time
He missed so much time with the broken leg and he didn't miss a beat. He's focused on doing his job and being consistent with it. He's a great person to have in the clubhouse.
coaches consider focus heard main players playing
I had heard other players say 'when you play in St. Louis, you don't want to leave,' ... When you consider it, playing here is a no-brainer. It's awesome, from the organization to the manager, to the coaches to the fans. The main focus here is on winning.
body except focusing situations type
I just feel very comfortable with two strikes. It's one of those situations where you don't want to do anything wrong, but you want to be able to sit back and relax. The one thing I don't want to do is get any kind of jumpiness, any type of anything, into my body except focusing on the baseball.

change definitely early game lose tone
It was very important for us to go out there and set the tone early and find a way to get a win. Every game can change momentum. You definitely don't want to lose that lead.
handle letting
Personally, I can handle myself after this, ... but I feel disappointed in letting them down.

We didn't lay back and let things happen today, ... We hit and ran and just pushed the envelope all day, that really show Tony's management style.

Because if he's up we've got at least two guys on and we have a chance.
bunch develop ends force guys playing team time walk
The thing you don't do is come to a new team and force yourself on people. We walk in here as a bunch of guys but over time we're going to develop into a team. It's going to be interesting to see how it ends up playing out.
double key matter plays turn winning
Double plays are key to winning championships, ... No matter the situation, we try to turn everything.
matter score turn
Don't turn the channel, ... no matter what the score is.
