Mine was a great goal but the important thing was the team winning,
We can take a lot from that game, to play against one of the best teams in the world and we've outplayed them for 90 minutes, ... They've scored two goals in the last two minutes of extra time. We had a lot of young lads out there who played as if they had been around for a long time.
I love scoring goals for England and playing for England. That's one of the reasons I didn't retire - I love playing for my country.
That goal [in the 1998 World Cup] changed me-not as a person, but as a player. People have looked at me differently ever since. It gave me confidence and now I feel I can achieve anything.
I hope I become a better player day after day. This is one of my goals. I want to improve in every situation, but when you are playing along with top figures, it is a quality bonus and a bigger effort. Besides, the Spanish Liga also gives you the chance to progress and improve.
I don't think I could have struck it any better but I think the goalkeeper has read where I was going to put it and that's unfortunate for me. If I had put it away, maybe it would have been all over but we're not going to know that now.
We do need to share that out because Frank's showed this season that he gets forward, he scores goals, gets in some great positions,
I don't think we could have thrown anything more at them. They defended exceptionally and we just couldn't break them down. I expected a few goals but overall I wish them good luck because they are a good team.
If it all ended tomorrow, I would hope that people would write about captaining England 50 times, the 86 caps, winning the European Cup, six Premiership titles, two FA Cups, ... So many goals and games for United. And, hopefully, there is still a trophy with England and Madrid.
I like playing in Madrid and Spain. I live in this city and although we haven't yet talked about renewing my contract, after the Champions League matches against Arsenal we will talk.
Every one of our players respects every one of their players and their team as a whole. But once we cross that white line most of the respect will be out the window and we will be fighting to win the game.
Everybody is proud of what the cricketers have done in the last month. It's been incredible. We send our best wishes to the cricketers.
On being put out of the World Cup: That was the past, this is the future.
It's not all about me. I've got to lead as a captain and I'll try my best as always -- but so will all the players.
