I threw a lot of strikes. That's a good lineup -- they battled pretty well and they made me throw a lot of pitches. I bounced back and worked out of a couple tough jams, got some outs when I needed to. I'll take those things out of it.

I just controlled both sides of the plate, changed speeds here and there, and expanded the zone when I needed to. Mostly, I just had better command tonight.

I don't have anything they don't know about. Mostly it's pounding the strike zone, keeping the ball down and trying to stay out of patterns.

Obviously, every run counted, ... Any number of those runs that doesn't score, it's a different game for us. I'm frustrated because I never really got going -- never really found a groove, never consistently threw a lot of strikes.

Occasionally you walk a couple of guys and it doesn't really get that bad, ... Once you walk three guys and hit a guy, you're probably not staying in there much longer.
felt mixed strike
I felt good. I was working down (in the strike zone) and mixed my pitches, which is what I have to do.
ball felt good job keeping staying top
I did a pretty good job of staying on top of the ball and keeping it down. I felt pretty good.

It wasn't the wrong pitch (fastball), it was the wrong location.

It was definitely one of my best. I mostly had good command. I was throwing strikes.
