I watched the game against Pittsburgh, and I knew what they were doing on almost every play because Charlie is running what we ran in New England. What's so tough about his offense is that it comes at you from all angles, on the ground and through the air, and it blends a bunch of different offensive philosophies.
If I had to do it all over again? After seeing all this that's gone on this year? I don't know. No. Doubt it. I mean, it's almost like it's a crisis because you see a lot of turnover. Nobody wants to be a part of anything that has a lot of turnover.
Did that out there (on the field) look like it would scare anybody? Why should it?
That's the one thing I'm trying to tell guys here: Anything can happen. When we went 5-11, people thought we were just awful. But it's all about what you believe as a player and how much you're willing to put into it in order to get what you want out of it.
It doesn't have to be one or two guys. I look at a team as everybody being shareholders in this thing. It's everybody's team. Everybody has a piece of this thing, and we're all pulling together as a group to get this thing taken care of.
We could have put the game away with a four-minute drive, and we couldn't even get that accomplished. It was just one of the many disgusting moments in the game. I'm ashamed of it.
You know what it's called? It's called guys stepping up and making plays. This game is not rocket science.
Let's be real. Especially if you've been in this situation for a while where it's not been a winning environment, guys might be looking elsewhere to be a part of something else.
It's early. How many teams do you know their philosophy in Week 2?
When your defense scores two touchdowns and causes four turnovers and you still lose, that's bad. That's real bad. We couldn't do (anything) on offense. That might have been the worse offense I've ever seen ever.
Yeah, but this is not the same team as last year. This is a whole new season, a whole new team. This is a chance to set our philosophy on who we're going to be.
A lot of people around the country don't realize Boston College is known for putting up good linemen.
You're not going to bait me into giving you what you want to hear.
There needs to be a change, because something is clearly not right. I love Joey to death, but historically, that's the position where the change takes place. When things are going good, he gets the glory, and when it goes bad, he takes the fall.
