capture cast fictional game millions months order people poker pretending primarily side stars tables top trained watching weekly
With millions of people watching poker weekly on television, it was important to capture the authenticity of the game and its players. To that end, the poker tables in 'Lucky You' are primarily populated by poker players, not actors pretending to be poker players. Our stars trained for months in order to convincingly play side by side with top poker professionals cast in fictional roles.

The fact is that people have started to dismissively apply that term to stories that focus on women and their relationships,
opportunity people
Put simply, there are many people who want to make movies and very few opportunities for them to do it.
moving boys people
So it's discouraging and, yet, when you make a movie like Wonder Boys, in a sense it's its own reward, because it does move people, it gets great reviews, and it becomes part of that library of movies that exist out there. As time goes by, it will find its audience.
eye unique people
In terms of talking with my collaborators as they came onboard - Jeannine Oppewall, our production designer, Dante Spinotti, our cinematographer, and so forth - I said to them, "Let's pretend that this is a place like Honolulu. Let's ignore the fact that all these other movies have been made here for decades and try to come at it with a fresh eye, as if it were an exotic city that people aren't that familiar with. And let's present our own view of it, create a world that's unique to this movie [L.A Confidential].
writing people journalist

people impossible ridiculous
As ridiculous as it is for anybody who knows how movies are made, there were people who actually wrote in reviews that this picture [Bad Influence] had been put out to capitalize on the scandal. Which, of course, would have been impossible.
people guy surprise
In L.A. Confidential, it was great to surprise the audience with Guy Pearce and Russell Crowe - two Australian actors that they didn't know at all - and let people discover them through the course of the film.
people proud surprise
This girl, I can't tell you how much ... well, just how proud I am of her. She is going to surprise so many people with this.
people talking
It got a lot of people talking about it again.

affect brother chord people realized relationship reminded routes script similar struck took
I read this script and it struck a chord with me, and I thought, why does this story affect me so much? And I realized that it reminded me a lot of my relationship with my brother - two people who took very different routes to get to a very similar place.
people trying versions
I prefer stories about people who are, in a sense, trying to find better versions of themselves.
conflict good great shoes symbol time
The shoes are a great symbol of the conflict between the sisters. Haven't we all at one time or another wanted to be in someone else's shoes? To have their advantages, their good fortune.
