They always are good for a run, and they brought that run at us in the third quarter. I think that when we negated that run is when the game kind of got out of hand.
answering kids runs
With experienced kids like Gregory and Koop on the floor, they do the things they need to do. It's not about answering runs to me; it's just about making plays.
attacking executing grown needed tonight
We weren't executing the things that I thought we needed to execute. We weren't attacking as well as we needed to. Other times we've started that way, then grown into it. Tonight we didn't.
overall sure tempo transition
We got some turnovers that were big. I'm sure we got the most transition hoops, but the tempo overall was set by Orem.
bench heard kid nice
Isn't it nice to have a kid come off the bench you've never heard of?
awake enjoy few final fun game hours learned thinking today tried won
I've been here a few times and it's fun to be here and I've learned the few times I haven't won the championship to enjoy the moment. I've tried to enjoy getting to the final four. I tried to enjoy that for the two hours I was awake today without thinking about the game and I'm going to try and do the same thing.
region teams
The teams in our region know he is a shooter, but I don't know if the teams up here do.
final high looking school state
Congratulations, you've made it to the final eight. I'm not looking at a state championship. I just want to get to the final four. If you get to the semifinals in high school basketball, you've accomplished something.
breaks game today
Those are the breaks of the game and you have to play through them. We just didn't have it today in the right places, and they did.
best defender gets nobody position post state
Nobody gets position on him inside. If he's not the best post defender in the state then I don't know who is.
best cover gets guard nobody players since sophomore team top
Since he's been a sophomore he's had to guard the top players on every team and nobody gets the best of him. And when other players on the team get beat, Tanner is always there to cover up for them.
good might region three tie
We're the region champs right now. We might tie for it, but everyone else has at least three losses. We feel good about that.
basketball good people
I've got a good basketball team. We have a lot of people that can score.
chase decided great guards heard helped leave player uncovered
It's great to have a player come off the bench, that no one has ever heard of, and have him play great. They decided they were going to leave one of our guards uncovered and he made his shots. That helped chase them out to the perimeter.
