Obviously, 600 doubles is a heck of a lot of doubles. I am real proud of it. I remember hitting 500 at home, and who knows if you are ever going to get to 600?
Maybe he read the article where I said that's never happened to me before, ... I mean, I've had some that were questionable - but, come on. I'm sitting on the bench all day, the guy throws a slider at you and it hits you in the middle of the batter's box. That was only my second ejection. I guess I'm a big troublemaker.
They caught a break and their best hitter came up, and that's that. This stings. It's hard. But the umps do a great job. Things happen so fast out there.

Today we just took our lumps. We came across a good pitcher, and he pitched well and hit his spots.
I hit it off the end a little bit and it was a little whippy, ... There's so much tape on (the bat) sometimes you can't really tell if they're broken.
I didn't even know he was hitting behind me,
I'm not out here to disrespect anybody, ... And obviously with Wags, I'm not. I just kind of hit it and I was like, man, I got it. I looked at it and just ran.
You know that play is going to be real close, ... I don't know if he would have gotten me or not because I hit it off the end and it was spinning funny. It's just one of those situations where you always run it out and you always get an opportunity.
We just go out and do what we're told, and he's really making all the right moves. He's just really doing a great job.
I very easily could have popped it up, but I was able to square it up and we get out of here with another win.
It would be nice to save him for last and then the fans could go crazy for two or three minutes.
It would have been nicer if it was off someone else, I can tell you that, ... But we'll take the win any way we can get it.
They all do the same thing, ... All of them, they just know how to set up hitters. They strike you out when they need a strikeout. It's just amazing to watch them pitch.
