Obviously, he was the President of the United States, but he's just a normal person, a down to earth guy.
I'm really happy, really proud, that our fans stepped up and gave an unbelievable ovation for Baggy. He's not an overly emotional guy, but I know that touched him.
I'm just trying to get the best jump I can. If he tells me to go, I'm going.
It's strange, him not being here in the clubhouse. But today I was just elated, the way the crowd showed their support for him. I was proud to be an Astro, and I'm proud to be his friend.
Everyone can make their own decisions about what's going on. It's not for players to answer. It's just a tough situation right now.
Everybody is really contributing. When that's going on, it's a lot of fun.
The biggest thing with Andy was getting his velocity back. Everybody in here knew that once he did, you're going to see what you saw before. When he's throwing that cutter at 83-84-85 miles an hour last year and getting away with it then, you could only imagine what it was going to be like when he started getting it up to 90-91.
It was just Rocket being Rocket. He was just adding to his legendary status.
There've been a lot of great players to play the game of baseball that never got an opportunity to go to the World Series, ... and I was hoping that I wasn't going to be another one of them.
I'm not out here to disrespect anybody, ... And obviously with Wags, I'm not. I just kind of hit it and I was like, man, I got it. I looked at it and just ran.
I'm glad it worked out and happened at home and my family was here, and the fans. At least we can take something positive out of it today.
I'm not greedy, I'm not selfish I just wanted to get to a World Series one time,
I'm praying Baggy can go and I'm praying that Rocket will come back.
It was a great ceremony. The rings are great. It was a memorable day, up until the game started. Then we just didn't play very well today. All of us.
