The North Dakota guys were out there about a minute and they were probably tired. I knew they'd be going for a (line) change.

They had some pretty good sustained pressure there in the third period. Our guys did a good job keeping it to the outside. They were blocking shots, selling out, diving, doing whatever we could to keep them out of the danger areas. They were starting to wear us down, but the team did a great job and I was trying to stay as calm as I could.

That one surprised me a little bit. I didn't see the guy right there on the doorstep. It's my fault for not being on the post.

We're pretty familiar with them. We know all of their guys and how they like to play. They know how we play. It's going to be a battle of wills.

It was just about dropping the puck and seeing who wanted it more. The guys came out with energy in the beginning and we just buried them. That's a great feeling.

Shooting the puck up ice is something we've been working on all season. It's gotten me in trouble a couple of times, turning it over to the other team and getting goals against us. It was a bang, bang play and fortunately it worked out.

I felt good tonight. The first period was like a shooting gallery at both ends. Down the stretch my forwards and defensemen did a great job blocking shots. They really helped me out.

It's tough playing in this environment as a freshman, but he held his team in the game late. His play helped me elevate my game and made me want to compete harder and answer him at the other end.

It's not too bad. You try to downplay it. It's part of being a good team. You have to play in tough environments.

That's probably the best team in the tournament we'll play. Especially in an environment like that. It's kind of like the ultimate road game.
