capable guys score
You look around the room, we have some pretty capable players. Guys who score goals. It's not like we're not getting our chances.
knows league ottawa stay team
Every team in this league knows that when you play the Ottawa Senators, you have to stay out of the box.
blowing definitely game good help hope hundred maybe mind points putting shows sounds stay
One hundred points is huge, huge, especially for an 18-year-old in this league. That's pretty unbelievable. It's definitely something I want to help him achieve. Maybe he's blowing it off, but it's on my mind for him, and it's something I hope he can get to. But I think he's just going to play his game. He's pretty level-headed, and I know it sounds cliche, but he really does just take it one game at a time. And that's good on his part just to stay focused. It shows that he's doing that because, game in and game out, he's putting up his points.
dream hundred imagine people
One hundred points? At 18? This kid's doing something most people can't imagine or dream of.
against guys halfway matter penalties played playing pride second third took
I think halfway through the first we played a lot better. Then we took some penalties in the second and you can't do that against these guys, obviously. Then in the third, I think down 4-0 going into the third it's just a matter of pride and playing hard. I think the guys responded really well but. ... too late.
guys punch
Some guys I can make laugh; some guys I can make punch me out.
chance enter hard puck soon
I thought we made it real hard for them to enter the zone. Once they got it in, as soon as we had a chance to force, we did. We were getting the puck out when we had a chance.
brief few good looked moments periods team
I think we just started to play hockey. It was pretty torturous for the first two periods there. We had a few brief moments in there where we did play good or looked all right, but, for the most part, we looked like a pee-wee team out there.
best fact felt
I was pretty much at the end of a minute-and-a-half shift, it felt like. I was buckled. The fact he didn't give it to me was probably the best decision.
bit bring brought catch guess lift mine moved puck step stick trying unlucky waited
I was just trying to catch him. He had a little bit of a step on me. I just waited for him to bring the puck over and I went to lift his stick. But he moved his stick and I brought mine up on him. It was unlucky I guess but they made it count.
guess hit lucky saw
It hit me, and I was lucky enough for it to go in. But I guess they saw it differently.
adapting expected playing practice top willing work
I feel like I'm adapting well. It's not something I expected or thought would happen, but it's something I'm willing to work at, something I want to do. I just have to work my butt off every day in practice and in games, keep playing at the top of my game.
matter playing scoring system
We're playing the system well right now. It's just a matter of scoring goals.
arms both ends hands looked threw touching
When he threw his arms out there at the end, it looked like his hands were touching both ends of the rink, he's so big.
