bring environment perfect players
In a perfect world, you bring young players into an environment (like Atlanta),
behind bringing gave keeps seen shot strikes throw zone
Ramirez gave us a big shot in the arm. The one thing about Ramirez is that he just keeps on bringing it. We've seen him throw nothing but strikes this year, and I think he was only behind two hitters, but he was a little all over the zone tonight. He had to throw more pitches, but he battled back.
behind brings gets groove pop
When he gets in a groove there's some pop behind it. He brings some noise.
best bring expect game pace sports whether
His demeanor, his rhythm, the pace of game -- all of that is what you expect and what you need from your No. 1 starter. That's something he can bring every night, whether his best stuff's with him or not.
brings fun love passion watch
He's fun to watch. He's an interesting kid. How can you not love him? How can you not love to watch him play? The passion he brings and the energy.
bringing interest invited starting
He's not going to be invited back to be a part of the starting rotation. We have interest in bringing him back, but it's only in the bullpen.
ability bit help himself slow trying
I'm trying to help him slow himself down a little bit. He was a little bit better (Wednesday) night, but I have an ability to slow him down a little bit more.
bat behind fourth guy hitting initially kid legitimate maybe obviously opportunity pick pitch power ran run stuck support took
Initially we stuck him in there because we had run out of options. He is a big kid who has some power and we thought maybe we can find a guy to pick up some run support when they didn't want to pitch to Helton. Obviously he took that opportunity and ran with it. He is a legitimate fourth bat in the lineup. He is not just hitting behind Helton any more.
initially
Initially we just wanted him to be able to get healthy. And now for him to come back and be able to pitch, that's a plus.
plays
It's still a long season. We'll see how it plays out.
emphasize falls job player scouts
It's something we have thought about and if it falls into place, it falls into place, ... But I don't want to do it just as a novelty; I want to do it for some meaning. It think it would emphasize the job player development has done for us, and the job the scouts have done.
good invest
It's not free. He is going to invest in his future. It's a good plan.
age bond relative special time
The bond is special between a father, especially relative to his father's age and the time (in his life),
backwards bigger breaking issue might pitching start starting
The bigger issue is the first-pitch fastballs they are squaring up. He might have to start pitching backwards (by starting batters with breaking pitches) and doing some things different off the mound.
