offense summer tony worked
We worked on this offense all summer with Tony Jones, but he went out with an injury,

Both of us are hungry for a win. I think both teams will be hungry to get on the winning side.
guy kid missed open pass plays third tried
We should have been up (at halftime). We missed the wide-open guy here and then on third and one we tried to pass and the kid slipped when we had a guy open down the field, but its things like that. (New Bern) made plays when they had to and we didn't.
ball rolling
I think if we can get a win, we can get the ball rolling a little bit.
decided good horse inside ride
We just decided to go back to our horse and ride him. For an inside run, he's as good as there is around here.
block sustain
We never could sustain anything offensively because we couldn't block them. They were just too physical. Too strong.
good great pleasant trouble
(Foy) is a real pleasant kid. He's good to be around, never in any trouble and he has great character.
adjustment credit defensive front great lined
I credit that to our defensive staff. They made a great adjustment on about the 35-yard line, got us in a different front and got us lined up differently from what we were doing. Once we got lined up, we were OK.

Mike's got good hands. He can catch the ball out of the backfield. He also makes picks,
ball cost extra field goal kick late
My field goal kicker got here late so I couldn't let him kick that first extra point. I thought that was going to cost us the ball game.

Number one, I was trying to change our fortune. Number two, we've been preaching a lot about character and showing some class. I just thought it'd be a sign of showing kids that you didn't have to look like a bum all the time to do a job. They got a kick out of it. I think it loosened them up a little bit.

We've got three starters back on offense and two on defense. We're very green, ... We lost our offensive line, quarterback and main wide receiver. We're running around like chickens with our heads cut off. It's kinda early. These endowments, we look at them as a glorified scrimmages.
family farm limited wanting
We're still wanting to be a farm family, kind of. But we don't want to be limited to that.
flat gas took
That kind of took the gas out of us. You could see them go flat right then.
