It's huge. Obviously, I'm the last guy with the big goose egg, and it seemed like it was getting talked about more and more. ... It's nice to not have a zero sitting there.
If you look at the guys that are injured, that's a lot of firepower, a lot of points we're missing. A lot of nights, their talent just takes over and gets you goals. That's why we had to be smarter about not giving up as many chances.
I faced these guys about two weeks ago and I got ahead early with a lot of fastballs. After the first inning, I realized that I wasn't going to be able to do that, so I had to mix it up. It kept them off balance and really confused their hitters.
It was a great passing game for us,
It's definitely different, ... All the mud and the water and the obstacles, it makes you not feel the pain of running. Well, you still feel the pain, but it's more fun.
It's better already. I should be okay for Game 5.
And we've been getting a lot of quality shots.
We were driving down the street one day, and said, 'We gotta learn to rap if we're gonna be in music today.' I was a paralegal, she was working in a hair salon. Now we're a million-dollar-a-year business and fly all over the country. We're also going to be in Vegas on a permanent basis beginning in April, going back and forth from Phoenix every week. We'll be hooking up with that new George Clooney hotel he's building there.
This win could not have been much bigger. We put ourselves into a hole losing to Jacobs earlier in the year and did not have room for a down game.
It would be a good achievement for us. If we won (the trophy), it would just be something else that we could take into the playoffs with us, but the more important thing for us is to be playing well.
Defense was the key to our success, the defense has been solid all year.
Sometimes our passing was without a purpose. When we did pass with a purpose, we were very good, but not nearly long enough.
One thing was on my mind the whole time: the mud pit. Plus, it was hot, and I was ready for a little cool down.
Basically, we spend every waking hour and every dime we make trying to be something we're not, ... Fake hair, fake teeth, fake tans, fake boobs.
