Definitely no slip-ups, no injuries. Like I said, just keep working on the way were attacking and get us prepared for playoffs. It's only two weeks away.

There's a couple things we wanted to work on that I thought the girls were able to do. I think this was a good game for us coming off the slaughter from Friday and get us back on track.
ball box cross head helped people
We were able to get the ball wide, cross it back in and get our head on the ball. That really helped our people in the box get to the ball and get some goals.

The pressure is still huge. Coach Barker started a great tradition here and the girls know what to do to be successful. The stress level is pretty high. I don't think this team or this community will be happy if we don't win the state championship.

Girls were crashing nets, (making) good crosses and we were able to finish.

Losing two defensive starters (to graduation), Nicole has really stepped up and helped us.

She's coming on strong. Her goal is to get another state ring; really that's the goal of all the girls.

She's a Division I player and I think she showed why tonight. You have to know where she is at at all times.

When you get a two-goal lead it helps. I think we controlled things for the most part.
great message minute scoring sends team
We had a great practice. Scoring one minute in doesn't hurt, either. It sends a message to the other team that this may be a long game.

It's going to be even. We know who they have and they know who we have. It's going to go either way.

They were beating us to balls early, but we started to pick it up. Our forwards started running through the ball and being very aggressive. That allowed us to take advantage of their mistakes in the back.

It's hard for people to mark us. If they mark one person and knock them out, we've got others to come. That definitely helps in the playoffs.

It's a good way to close out (the regular season) and be undefeated in conference with a shut out. Overall I'm happy with where we're at heading into the state tournament.
