Chauncey Ray Billupsis an American retired professional basketball player who played 17 seasons in the National Basketball Association. A star at the University of Colorado, he was selected third overall in the 1997 NBA draft by the Boston Celtics. A five-time NBA All-Star and a three-time All-NBA selection, Billups played for the Celtics, Toronto Raptors, Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves, Detroit Pistons, New York Knicks, and Los Angeles Clippers during his NBA career. We're trying to get back to our winning ways right. That's more important. We still have three more games.
Winning 63 games is unbelievable. Of course, I've never been in a situation like that, so it feels great. I've been on the other end, winning 23 or 25 games. It's unbelievable to feel that way, to feel like you're going to win every time you step out there - and most nights, you do.
I'd be my choice, to be honest with you, but Steve Nash is another great choice. He's kept that team afloat, and not just afloat, but winning a division.
Nobody cares who gets the glory. We just care about winning and playing for each other, not anyone else.
It's a little more rewarding winning on the road because you're facing so much adversity. You've got 18- or 20,000 people rooting against you and all you've got is the team you're on and everyone on that bench. That's all you really have. It's a lot more fun to be at home, just to be in front of your own fans, but to win on the road is more rewarding.
I get a lot more confidence winning games playing defense than winning the run-and-gun game.
My guys look for me to step up in that magnitude and I take the challenge every time. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, but you've got to have a guy that will take those shots and deal with the consequences.
Our only motivation is not winning it last year. That's our whole motivation. We thought we was the best team in the world last year and came up a little bit short. We feel the same way again and we want to validate that.
We talked about it in the locker room before the game, that this was the game we needed. We felt they hadn't been tested in this postseason, they hadn't played against a team like us that plays defense, believes in itself and tries to control the tempo of the game. Yesterday was a good game to show them that.

We just stepped up to the challenge. I didn't ever think they were going to miss, and we couldn't hit anything, but we knew it was a matter of time. We're never out of a game, no matter what the score. You can't measure our pride. We just had to chase them off the 3-point line and start hitting some shots.
