credit good pitchers
They have good pitchers. And those pitchers made good pitches. I've got to give them credit.
bad easy good hitter pitcher three train
It's not easy to do. Three things have to go right: The pitcher has to make a bad pitch, the train has to be going by and the hitter has to have a good swing.
coach goes guys knows lead lights
Those two guys are lights out. (Pitching coach Xavier Hernandez) and me don't even have to talk. If we have the lead after seven, he knows who goes in.
bad train
That was a bomb. Too bad a train wasn't going by.
chance everybody guy jump major nobody oldest uniform wants
Nobody wants to be the oldest guy in the clubhouse, but everybody has their role. Everybody has their chance. It's like I tell them: As long as you've got a uniform on, you've always got a chance to play in the major leagues. It's not a big jump from here.
bad strikes swung
I didn't think we swung at bad pitches. We swung at strikes and didn't get many hits.
bat chance devil game job last plays pleasant smart surprise
He was a pleasant surprise last year. They said his bat was not that good, and he did an outstanding job for us. Defensively, he's good. He plays the game hard, he's a smart kid. I think he's got a chance (to play for the Devil Rays).
chance hit
Owens has power. He always has a chance to hit one out.
add ball understand
I went back down to Double-A ball after being up. I understand what it's like. It's not easy, but I know he can add a lot here.
behind
He's a leader. That's what we want from him behind the plate.
god hit known since thank
He's been doing that ever since I've known him. Thank God he hasn't hit anybody.
best needs
He's doing the things he needs to do to play in the big leagues. If he can do the little things, he has a chance. He's probably the best shortstop in this league, in my opinion.
league sent start tough
He is more relaxed. When you first come to a new league and start in a hole, it's tough to get out, especially for a young guy. Getting sent down and back up is tough.
against likes maybe players seem team
Players always seem to do better against one team or another. Maybe he likes the Biscuits.
