easy extra people player pull wants
Just how to work, ... He's out there working every day. He never wants to come out of the game. You've got to pull him out of the game. If he's tired, he doesn't want to ever come out. It's little things that people don't notice, but that's why he's the player he is -- because he doesn't take the easy way, he always does the extra mile.
days easy hard plays took worked
He worked hard every day. He didn't take any days off, he didn't take any plays off. That's how he did it. He never took the easy way out.
chance decision everybody hard possibly reasons time
I think everybody knows, at least everybody who is on the bubble, so to speak. All you can do is do everything you possibly can every time you get a chance to make it a hard decision for them. When you get the opportunity, you just want to give them reasons to keep you around.
confident time trying year
I'm a little more confident and comfortable this year. This time of year I'm trying to make every play.
bad game picked
We picked a bad day to have a bad game. Now we have to live with it.
bunch coming finally gave gone hard league liked looked pass paying perseverance player prove saw stuck work
It's a lot of hard work and perseverance finally paying off. When I first got up here in Greeley, it looked like I was going to be the first one gone and never coming back, ... But they saw something they liked and they stuck with me and gave me a bunch of opportunities to prove myself. And finally it's coming to pass that what they thought about me was right and that I can play in this league and be a player on this team.
great guys stay struggled
It's great to just play with Rod. He's an inspiration to everyone out here, especially guys like me who've struggled to stay in the league.
determine drill head outcome special teams
They drill it in our head that special teams could determine the outcome of the game.
confidence finding flying playing
They're playing with a lot more confidence now. They're flying around, finding the football.
daily distance far nice regret start tail
You don't start out working to get into one, and you never really think about it, really. It's so far in the distance when you have your daily priorities, but it's nice to be considered. It's part of the journey. My only regret is that it comes at the tail end of my career.
dwelling fix good move points positive turn turned
Any points are good points. It's when we come away with nothing that's more disappointing. But we'll turn those threes into sevens and turn things around in a positive way. It's nothing we're dwelling on. But it's something we have to get turned around and fix as we move on with the season.
definitely guys sees special
Offense, defense, special teams, he doesn't care. If he sees something he doesn't like, he's going to definitely let you know about it. You've got to have guys like that on your team.
education good high perspective proper remind school seem sports
I think we have to keep the proper perspective on high school sports. Sometimes, sports can seem like a runaway train, so we have to remind our student-athletes that education comes first, and that you have to be a good sport to play and a good citizen.
last playing rod
Rod doesn't take anything for granted. He's out there playing like every play is his last play.
