chance draw fake felt good middle people run win
We felt like we had a good play where we could fake the run up the middle and draw people up and give Calvin a chance to win it one-on-one,
add asset both coached excellent football game key knowledge passing running sides
Jeep is another excellent all-around football coach, having coached on both sides of the ball in his career. He has recruited extensively in the Southeast, another key asset for our program. We think Jeep's knowledge of the running game and passing game will add to our package.
both game running stop
They both are the same in that you better stop the running game or you're in for a long day.
assignment coming cuts monitor ready receiver running wide
What they do is make you play assignment football. Somebody's got to take the running back. Somebody's got to take the quarterback. Somebody's got to take the wide receiver coming around for the hitch. Then, you have to be ready for the play-action pass. They make you monitor threats, and that cuts down your pursuit, if you're not careful.
ball basically behind college experience remember running wreck
We won. Basically that's all I remember about it. The pageantry about the college game, running out behind the Rambling Wreck to the very first ball game, that's always been an experience that's been pretty exciting.
limited low numbers running
You're running low on numbers anyway. You really are limited in some respects.
game knew major pass phases running second sort work
We've got to get better in some phases of our running game, get better in some phases of our pass defense, ... Other than that, I sort of knew where we were. I had a feel for where we were before the first game, after the first game, before the second game and after the second game. No major surprises, no revelations, just little things that you work on.
coach run wanting wants
He's been wanting to do it for a long time. Every coach wants to do it. Every coach wants to run it himself.
attention clock field four games gone hours miss nobody plays running smart start talking
We're on the field for four hours anyway. Our games have gone 3:50, 3:40 and 3:30. You want to get my attention and my ire up, let's start talking about shortening the game. To me, this is not smart on our part. We could take some plays out that nobody would miss by running the clock in some situations.
armor until
You don't know what the kinks in the armor are until you see him play more. You didn't see the vulnerability in that ballgame.
anybody compete everybody football good healthy hitting week
When we have everybody healthy and hitting on all cylinders, we're a pretty good football team. We feel like we can compete week in and week out with anybody in the country.
size easier bigger
Size is definitely relative. If you're bigger, they can see you easier.
jobs kids self-worth
There are no utopia jobs on this earth, .. There's nobody out there that can say, 'I've got the ideal job and there are no problems.' If your self worth is based on what other people think of you, you're in trouble. My self worth is not based on them. My self worth is based on my faith, how I treat others, what I'm doing right for this program and these kids and this coaching staff. Other than that, I understand you're not going to please everybody.
risk rewards chance
That is a risk. Risk/reward, life's chances. There's always that part of it.
