choose move
I don't know which one I'd choose. I'd probably choose to move it back.
adjusting bowl football good helped move practiced solid third today
I think he's adjusting very well. I know he's had two solid practices, and I think today was the third solid practice. I think that's been a good move for our football team, and it will be a good move for him. It was probably good that we practiced him there some during the bowl practices. That's helped him make the adjustment.
compete field guy move talent willing
He comes on the field and competes very well. With that kind of talent and a guy that will compete and is willing to work, he can move up pretty quickly.
calls center centers charge excellent good learn learning lost moved played player toughness
He's a young player who had not played center; we moved him to center when he got here. He's got excellent toughness and good strength. He is lost right now, learning how to play the position. Centers have to make all the calls and are in charge of a lot, so he's got to learn that and it's going to take some time. He's made very good progress, but he's got a long way to go.
choose move rain supposed
I'd probably choose to move it back just because it's supposed to rain off and on all week, anyway.
game knew major pass phases running second sort work
We've got to get better in some phases of our running game, get better in some phases of our pass defense, ... Other than that, I sort of knew where we were. I had a feel for where we were before the first game, after the first game, before the second game and after the second game. No major surprises, no revelations, just little things that you work on.
account extra people physical
We're not able to account for the extra people up there. We're not physical enough to do that yet.
bunch plays stepped time
This was the first time he's stepped up and made a bunch of plays in a row.
complaints-and-complaining credit instead maybe
You have to give him credit for what he did, ... instead of maybe complaining about what he didn't do.
backs balls credit deal great hit inside outside reads short
We hit some balls outside deep, we hit some balls inside over the middle, we hit some short passes, we hit backs out of the backfield. We did some things that we have not done in a while, and I give Reggie a great deal of credit for making those reads and getting the ball to the right guys,
chance field hard length plays teams time
Big plays are the key. If you can keep teams from making the big plays, then you have a chance to keep them from scoring. They have a hard time going the length of the field on our defense,
field fourth goals score settle
We need to score touchdowns and not settle for field goals in the fourth quarter.
accuracy gives good pleasant practicing somebody surprise taylor time
Every time somebody doesn't practice, it gives somebody else an opportunity. Taylor has been practicing very, very well. He's been a very pleasant surprise this spring. His accuracy has been a good positive.
assignment coming cuts monitor ready receiver running wide
What they do is make you play assignment football. Somebody's got to take the running back. Somebody's got to take the quarterback. Somebody's got to take the wide receiver coming around for the hitch. Then, you have to be ready for the play-action pass. They make you monitor threats, and that cuts down your pursuit, if you're not careful.
