against allow defense feet game half open positions team together
Especially on defense in the first half against everyone we play, we try to use our feet to get into the right positions and we did that very well as a team. The whole team really jelled together in this game on defense. We didn't allow Elma to have a whole lot of open looks.
deep dig game gives hit momentum needed played quarter rochester shot shots tough
When you hit a shot at the end of a quarter or a half, that gives you a lot of momentum if the game is close. Rochester played us tough and made a lot of shots they needed to. We needed to dig down deep and play well defensively to get some stops.
attacked
We kind of got after it defensively. We keyed on their turnovers and attacked the hoop.
good looks
We had some good looks ... and nothing dropped.
advantage against equally far game good hurt knew needed ourselves played pressed stick t took
They pressed us t he whole game and we knew what we needed to do against it; we just didn't do it. Turnovers hurt us. They took advantage and played a very up-tempo style. This game was a good measuring stick to show how far we need to go to make ourselves equally as good.
continuity offense patience tempo
Our patience wasn't there and the tempo and continuity in our offense was off.
couple expected free game hit match teams throws type
These two teams match up well. I expected this type of game all the way through. We were just a couple of possessions away. We just couldn't get that one basket. They hit their free throws at the end, which did it.
allowed almost boxing extend guy half helped intensity pace second trying
The first half was almost like a boxing match, trying to see what the other guy was going to do. In the second half, our conditioning allowed us to keep our intensity up and play at a pace that helped us extend the lead.
