I've said many times in the past that my career's not going to go on much longer; I'm not going to keep going and riding until I'm in my 30s and things like this.
The start was great and I felt really comfortable out front and just concentrated on doing my own thing, but as the fuel got lighter I wasn't able to up the pace as I lost some rear grip. My physical condition was also a factor today and I wasn't feeling 100%.
People are telling me I might be going back to MotoGP, but a rumour is a rumour.
Even now with the operation, with the damage done, my ankle probably is never going to be back to 100 per cent.
I've always known there's more to life than just racing for a long time.
I think I don't really have any expectations; I don't look at the season as a whole - I look at it race by race.
I can only do what I can do.
I have been interested in V8s for a long time.
I have been going from one racetrack to another for years, since I was 14.
There are a lot of good guys that I race against, and that's what I enjoy the most.
Even in motocross, youre struggling to see people pass each other anymore. There seems to be one line in motocross.
I have broken my collarbone twice in a year.
It will be difficult to return to racing this weekend after Marco's terrible accident in Sepang but I think it is the best thing we can do to honour him,” says World Champ Casey Stoner. We know we all play a risky game and, even if compared to the past the safety of our sport is much better, unfortunately these kind of events still occur. We will go out there this weekend and try to put on a good show for all the fans and especially in memory of Marco.
I'm very thoughtful, and when I make a decision I usually stick to it.
