Katy is always a strength. She's always one to hustle and you always find her on the floor. You can't replace that.

We were playing good hard aggressive defense. I'd like to see a little more offense, but that's gonna come.

We had a lot of opportunities. They didn't really hurt us defensively too much. They were physical, and they made us work for every rebound, but we really just did it to ourselves. We played some of the best defense I've ever seen, but we just couldn't equal it on the offensive side.

That was part of it. I don't want to say Katie just had six points, because she was out there playing the game with a black eye, and she was everywhere doing what Katie does, but we really did struggle offensively.

We just couldn't get the offense rolling. We were dominating on defense in the first half, but we made a few a key turnovers at the wrong time and they turned it around.

It was something we worked on this week with Cassie. As a forward, we wanted her to be more aggressive rebounding, and not just wait for the post players to go after the ball.

We'll see if we can pick up the energy this week. It's a new season now, and they know where they want to be.

This is a game we absolutely shouldn't have lost. You know it's a bad loss when the other coach thanks you for giving it away.

I think it kind of made them a little bit angry. It was something that we needed, maybe, to get a little chip on the shoulder and play a little harder. I think they did that Saturday, and they've done the same in practice this week.

We've been waiting for a few weeks for them to explode on somebody. We played fast and used a lot of steals to get a lot of fast-break opportunities. The refs down here also called our style of basketball, which is a little more pushing both ways. That really riled us up and got us going.
