drawn friday newark played rest struggled tied
(Athens) played us well, and everyone else average. (Athens) tied Newark (1-all Dec. 10) and Pickerington (3-all Nov. 11). For some reason, we've drawn them on a Friday and they've struggled the rest of the weekend.
gives january last wins
These last two wins after our January gives us momentum.
defend earned flow game goal kept owned puck special theirs whether won
We kept on our game plan. My hat's off to these guys. They earned it. Whether we won by one goal or not, we owned the flow of (every game). We kept the puck in our end more than theirs and it bounced our way. It's special to defend the championship.
central close execute expect january kept lost missing ohio spark talented teams
We kept missing some spark in January and it's been unfortunate. We need to execute better. We've lost some close ones that have put us in this position. We're one of them most talented teams in central Ohio and I expect that we'll be right back into second.
advantage anyone bed nice sleeping sure teams three
It's nice not to travel. We've got the advantage of sleeping in our own bed, but there are three teams that also have that luxury. I'm not sure if any teams have an advantage over anyone else.
bring depend desire engine gets grit heart hitting talent
It's going to take grit and grind, and desire. It's a heart game. You can bring all the talent and say you're going to depend on that, but that only gets you so far. Every piston has to be hitting in the engine to win. You have to execute.
class good lost whether
Whether or not we lost 4-1, we went out with class and had a good stretch.
defense
The defense has scored over 40 points. You have to be comfortable with that going into the tournament.
goals john line scoring
He's on the same line as (Joe Peruzzi and John Benson), scoring a lot of goals. We have a lot going for us with that line.
allowing average biggest burning check clean eight finish lay minutes officials problem saying sean spending talk
I can talk and talk about Hundley. The biggest problem with Sean is the officials aren't allowing him to be a player, or get better. They're not allowing him to finish a game. Referees are burning him. He's spending an average of eight minutes in the (penalty box). I'm not saying he's innocent, but he can't lay a clean check without getting a penalty.
