ball floor great job looking needed open pushing seeing tells
That tells you how well we were pushing the ball, how well we got out in transition. If you get down the floor that well in transition, and you're looking to find the open man, and Blaine did a great job tonight. He had 11 first-half assists that we had counted. That's just huge. Blaine did a great job of seeing the floor and getting the ball to who needed it tonight.
advance against good job points rebounds scoring
We've got to come out here and play our butts off (against Puxico). We can't give up rebounds like we did tonight. We can't give up as many points as we did tonight. I thought Advance did a good job of scoring a lot of points. They got a lot of rebounds against us. We're going to have to play our A game.
came defensive game huge introduced job learner offensive park phenomenal quick speaks strides stuff team time volumes year
He made huge strides this year. His footwork came a long way. His sense of a team game came a long way. You can play in the park all day long and not think about defensive positioning or offensive spacing. All that stuff was introduced to Will for the first time this year and I thought he did a phenomenal job of grasping those concepts. He's quick learner and that really speaks volumes for him.
defensive floor gets great job leading looks rebounds tonight tough transition
Will did a great job tonight of really leading our break. He got a lot of defensive rebounds and just started going down the floor. ... Just great looks down the floor and if Will gets us out and going in transition like that, we're tough to beat.
goal great hard life seen seize stress teams tough trying win work
It's so tough to get there, so many things have to work in your favor. I've seen a lot of great teams not make it, and teams that shouldn't have made it work hard and get there. It's been the goal of my life to get there and win a championship. That's the thing we're trying to stress is you have to seize the moment.
came created figured guard guy hit jeff left numbers team until void willing
The big guy (Bogan) came in and D.D. (Gillespie) left and that kind of created a void at the guard spot. Jeff was willing to let his numbers take a hit for a while until he figured everything out and the team figured everything out.
goal second win
Not winning, second place doesn't make you feel good. Our goal was one thing, to win it all.
care gets guys love
I love this team. These guys are so unselfish. They don't care who gets the credit, they just want to win.
came gave heck lucky played
It was one heck of a game. Puxico came out and played their butts off. They gave us everything they had and we were lucky enough to come out on top.
best came credit exactly extremely game great played sign
I want to give Verona credit, they came out and played extremely well. I think that's a sign of what a great team's about. We weren't exactly on our game and they played their best game, and we still came away with a 10-point win.
anytime forcing good jump puts seem
Anytime you can come out and jump on somebody, that kind of puts you in the driver's seat. You're looser, you're not as tight, you're not forcing things as much. When we jump out on that lead, we seem to play pretty good with that.
bending bit defense feet guess happen help moving needed points quite reaching second seemed time
That second half, we seemed a little sloppy. Our help defense wasn't quite what it needed to be. We were reaching a little bit more than we needed, not moving our feet (or) bending our knees. But, when you've got 60 points in the first half, I guess that can happen from time to time in the second half.
night stay took tried
We tried to stay with him all night. I thought every 3-pointer they took was contested.
couple missed turned
We turned it over a couple times when we shouldn't have, and we missed some shots.
