I guess it was making it as far as we did in the tournament. I don't know if I could say there was one game, but I think they said, 'This guy deserves it.' Fortunately I was one of six or seven guys that got in there at the last minute.

We talk about things. I learn a lot from him about the outfield, because he's a good outfielder. He really helps me out out there. Hitting, we pass things to each other. It's just fun having somebody there with you to go through the same things.

I don't know why he wouldn't have gotten picked up. Maybe it's a speed issue. But he scored close to 40 goals in two years and it never was an issue.

(Danny and I) started to develop a little bit of chemistry in there, and it's unfortunate that happened. I've got a lot of learning to do, as do a lot of players on this team. Things are happening so much faster. You take three touches and you're going to lose the ball.

It was probably because of the fact that we made it so far in the tournament. It gave coaches a chance to see what I could do. Thank goodness they gave me a chance.

There's definitely nothing to regret. We went out there every day and played the best that we could. It's not in our hands anymore.

Lance and I were talking, and it would have been an amazing end to our college careers and the beginning for hopefully a long MLS career. But I'm almost positive he'll be taken in that supplemental draft in a week or so.
