I've been pleased with the way Jordan is hitting. He makes a lot of contact.
Our equipment manager, Jason Pierce, thought it would show better on the jersey. I was totally supportive of that because I did want it to show and I did want people to know that he was a great man, and that we're proud to be a part of his program.
Boy, he played hard. That's a very, very complete ballgame for him.
Justin was actually sick before the game, but took a little medicine and came up with his best performance.
One of the really, really big reasons why the league has been so good is that it has had outstanding leadership. The commissioner has led the league through some real growth periods. Obviously they're going to lose a great man who has done a tremendous job a tremendous job. That has to be one of the toughest jobs that anyone could ever deal with: the owners and the players and all the issues that come up with that. I can understand why he might have felt it was time to retire.
Last year, we probably exceeded some things on offense, ... This year, we've had to mend some fences. You lose a certain degree of continuity.
Maggie was a wonderful girl. She will be greatly, greatly missed. Our players have handled this tragic loss well.
We had three shots at him but he made a remarkable play on it. It was a remarkable athletic play,
David has done some real nice things. He's had a good camp. I think it would be very hard to unseat him as the starter.
I've heard mixed reviews on Collier. Some doctors say he can play again, others say he can't.
It's a concern. But I think we have the talent base to do well. It should be interesting. They are some smaller kids, but their speed is good and they are strong.
We use the Naval Academy and Air Force Academy as our models, ... I have to give credit to Johnson and his staff. They turned it around so quickly. It's amazing how fast they have done it.
Zac is playing way ahead of last year. I couldn't be more pleased with him right now. He's making all the right decisions and is showing good evasion skills.
You can't imagine the pressure that starts to mount with your football team. To constantly read and hear about the longest losing streak in the country is something that's very difficult to deal with.
