Do we have plans to expand it today? No. Will we in the future if it does well? Of course we will. This is only our second week. We're taking it one step at a time, not five steps at a time.

There are growth issues the Board of Supervisors needs to deal with. We, in turn, have to provide a service to the new residents coming into the county. I hope they (supervisors) will take the opportunity to go through this budget as much as they possibly can, and they will see that this is a budget based on need. This is not a wish list.

We are rapidly approaching six months from the point where citizens approved the referendum for the third high school. I'm just appalled that we're six months into this and have made this little progress ... Construction costs are going up by the month, day, hour.

They have so many weapons that they may be more dangerous than they were last year when they looked to Bobby Gilbert to carry the load.

I think this division (between the two elementary schools) is both wise and judicious.

Any time you're put in a pressure situation like this and you answer the phone, it's big for your program. Our kids grew up a lot tonight. They were tired, especially late, but they were very focused.
