I had a great conversation with Wayne as I jumped on the plane to come to Turin and Wayne's excited. He's really excited about coming here to Turin and heading the men's team. Wayne should be here. He's been the leader of this team from day one.

Brent Sutter hasn't lost a game since he joined the program and if I didn't offer him the job again next year I think people would question my intelligence. They might do that anyway, but I'd like to think that I'd get this one right.

We're trying to get an update on where everybody is at right now. Everybody was talking two or three weeks ago about the health of our team, but back then it didn't mean much because we had a lot of time. Now, if we lose a guy we're going to have to make a snap decision right away, and it's really going to mean some difficult decisions.

We have a good group with those five. We have to look at what our need will be. It's really what piece fits.

We've had discussions over the last couple of months. There hasn't been anything formal. I'm in an excellent situation and I love my job here. But if the right offer came along, I'd listen.

Last year's team was if not the best, right up there in the history of the tournament. This year, every player is going to have to bring to the rink their A games to be successful. Brent has that unique ability to make sure every player has their A game for every game.

They certainly are supporting (our position) and that is to have Wayne Gretzky at the Olympics.

We had 11 or 12 bids for this one. We're getting preliminary bids in now and we expect the same kind of numbers.
