Only as we bow in contrition, confession, and repentance at the foot of the cross, can we find forgiveness. There is the grace of God.
If it weren't for God's grace, you and I wouldn't be able to live for even one more minute.
God's grace, quite simply, is God's mercy and goodness toward us.
I look forward to seeing Christ and bowing down before Him in praise and gratitude for all He has done for us, and for using me on this earth by His grace-just as I am.
Christ did not suffer and die to offer cheap grace. Jesus did not go willingly to the cross so we could have an easy life or offer a faith built on easy-believism. As someone once said, 'Salvation is free, but not cheap.' It cost Jesus His life.
The motive of grace is the infinite, compassionate love of a merciful God, but the work of grace was the death of Christ on the cross.
God doesn't owe us anything yet in His grace, He still gives us good things.
God's mercy and grace give me hope - for myself, and for our world.
The will of God will not take us where the grace of God cannot sustain us.
We can be certain that God will give us the strength and resources we need to live through any situation in life that he ordains. The will of God will never take us where the grace of God cannot sustain us.
When I reached about 80, my physical world turned upside down,
The storm was raging. The sea was beating against the rocks in huge, dashing waves. The lightning was flashing, the thunder was roaring, the wind was blowing; but the little bird was sound asleep in the crevice of the rock, its head tucked serenely under its wing. That is peace -- to be able to sleep in the storm! In Christ, we are relaxed and at peace in the midst of the confusions, bewilderments, and perplexities of this life. The storm rages, but our hearts are at rest. We have found peace -- at last!
Billions and billions of stars and planets out there, and behind them all are God.
The test of a preacher is that his congregation goes away saying, not, 'What a lovely sermon!' but 'I will do something.'
