Winning and losing isn't important to me so much as playing to a certain level. If we play to the level that I expect our team to play at, we should have three victories this weekend.
I feel very confident about what we can get done here, ... They already have an established tradition and a winning attitude. ... I want to continue the commitment to excellence.
It was especially good for us to win that one close game (39-37) because we stayed pretty consistent and didn't make very many mistakes,
You don't win championships by just being normal, by just being average.
Winning is about having the whole team on the same page.
I thought we were in a position to win (Friday) which is really discouraging. In the first two games, at no time was I really nervous about losing. It just kind of fell apart in the middle (of the match).
Head-to-head and everything being equal, San Antonio is still the better team. But San Antonio has never been able to repeat as champions because injuries have always been a factor. They win their championships after they have a short season the year before.
Everybody knew we were capable of playing better. I'm so proud of our kids. I can't say enough about their resolve.
The team seemed tired and lethargic (against Sacramento State) and not really mentally into playing that contest. I don't think we'll have that problem this weekend at all.
Currently, the green crab is viewed only as a pest species, ... The crab tends to eat what we eat. It's incredibly tough. And generally speaking, its presence in the water means fewer clams and lobsters. So, we'd like to turn around these negatives and make them into a positive.
I was proud of the way our team responded today. Jennifer (Hohl) did a fantastic job of distributing the volleyball, and keeping everyone involved.
We have to relax, play hard and make some critical plays when the pressure's on. Right now, that will be the most important thing. That was our weakness last year too.
For sure, it's the biggest test (we'll face) in September,
I don't know where they get all these trumped up charges. If they were putting everybody in jail that owed taxes, the jails would be really full.
