Teams learn how to win when they're not playing well and this team did that against Oklahoma. It's a maturation process with this team, but I think the guys really grew up in that game. Teams have to learn how to win ugly sometimes and we certainly did that. I couldn't be more proud of them.

We played bad tonight, but a large part of that was due to Texas. They could be a team that can challenge for it all. They were certainly too much for us to handle tonight. To play with teams that have it all, on their floor, we have another huge step to take.

I thought it was two teams playing really hard. I thought Oklahoma State played really tough and it rebounded well and pressured us out of what we wanted to do. We kind of did the same to them for awhile.

From a coach's perspective, if I watched Jim Wooldridge's team or Rick Barnes' team, it makes a difference. Your job is based on how you do with the potential that you have. I expected it to be tough, and this would have been a great atmosphere no matter what. Usually, when Kansas comes to town it adds spice to the game. When we don't play well on the road, our chances aren't good because usually teams are pumped to play us.

Personally I think it was a heck of a college basketball game. The crowd was great. Both teams competed their tails off. Plays at the end of regulation and overtime ... it was just unfortunate for us they made the last play.

One thing they will do will be to provide our league with styles created more off of pressure, both offensively and defensively. That's something we haven't had much of. Facing different styles will help prepare teams for the post-season.

Everybody's shooting two or three or four a game. I think with teams like that, it's why you don't shoot as good a percentage. But 8-for-17 is miserable. It's already cost us a couple of games.
