There was flooding in some various streams, but just toward the western half of the state. I don't see it as being problematic for Eastern Connecticut.
drag easier leaves normally soil trees winds
Normally that's not a big deal. But all the trees still have leaves on them and the soil is very saturated from the rain. That makes it easier for the winds to drag down trees.
