behind compete darn falls good guy hard heck help josh love lucky team tough
If (Brink) falls on his face, we're lucky as heck to have a darn good guy right behind him. It's a tough, tough decision. I love Josh like a son, and it's hard to tell a guy that the other guy's (it). But he's a man, and he was very good with it. He's still going to help this team and he's still going to compete for that job.
alex earned josh lost nice
I don't think Josh lost it as much as Alex just earned it. Alex did a nice job.
speed
We got our butt kicked, period. In the first quarter, their speed was something we had never seen.
good half second teams tv watching
The second half is the problem. I was watching TV (last Saturday) and there are some pretty good teams in our conference.
college football good
I've been in college football for 30 years, and it's as good as I've seen.
bit both team
Right now, they're leg-weary, both of them. The whole team is a little bit leg-weary.
advantage game
Our advantage is having a game under our belt. I think that is huge.
credit game stop wore
As the game wore on, we couldn't stop anybody. Credit to them.
dame game good lose win
USC-Notre Dame is a good rivalry, but you can lose the game and still win your conference.
against defense friday last offense plays ran thursday
We think so. We went one-against-one Thursday and Friday (of last week). We went 10 plays where they ran our offense against their defense and then we went 10 plays where we ran their defense against our offense.
team
We got embarrassed down there. They embarrassed us. And I was embarrassed myself for our team and our performance. It was tough.
defensive depth tackle
We've got some depth at defensive tackle and defensive end. But we need a little more depth at linebacker.
hitting kids tired
We've had enough hitting. The kids are tired of hitting each other.
concerns either matter ready stay telling
That's the thing that concerns me more than anything is are we going to be ready to play? I keep telling (the players) you don't stay the same. It's the old saying, 'You either get better or you get worse.' And we have to try and get better no matter who you are playing.
