There's probably more (quality) linebackers than we've had the last couple of years. Some of those guys have had a lot of production, have had a lot of playing time.
Sapp is a big guy with a lot of power that's a real force in the middle,
Ben can run. He's not a (wide) receiver, but he's got that receiver type of ability for a tight end. He's obviously a big target. That's always something that the quarterback likes, is a tall guy that has a good reach and is just a big target to throw to.

Everybody that is covering, once they get behind the blocker, then they lose leverage on the guys that they're trying to block. The penalties aren't when they're in front of them. The penalties are when they're behind them or they're on the side of them.
The thing I thought was Jerry's greatest strength ... was his endurance. I thought he was a guy who was able to go hard and run hard on virtually every single play of the game. It didn't make any difference if it was fourth quarter, in the middle of a two-minute drive or the third play of the game. He was always very, very close to his top speed. Nobody else was like that.
Sometimes, maybe some of the guys at that position, because of expectation, are put into situations before they're ready to have success, (and) that affects their confidence and their ability to develop.
We have a lot of guys in that category. It could come down to some game-time decisions. But I think we're heading in the right direction. How quickly that will all come together or not come together, I'm not sure.
I think our best test is going to be in the kicking game. They have excellent specialist with their kickers, their snapper, their returners and they have a lot of really good cover people - guys that are very athletic and have been very productive for them in the past several years.
We played guys to get them experience, get them out there to play.
We played guys to get experience so they will be better prepared to play if they are called upon.
I think, for the most part, you're looking at players who are in roles, or situations, as probably being the swing guys on those numbers. I don't know if the geniuses referred to that or not. Probably not,
What you need to think about it is, 'How do I defeat the guy who is assigned to block me?' That's what defensive football really is about,
Getting all the run defense, seven or eight or however many guys, in the right places on any given play isn't easy. You can have everybody going hard, 110 percent, but if one guy is out of position, there's space there for the runner.
