I've told everybody to be ready to go. I'm sure that we'll look at some of the players that didn't play as much in the Green Bay game a little bit more against the Giants and try to get the best evaluation that we can as we make our final decisions at the end of the week. I'm sure that the younger players and the players who didn't play as much against Green Bay will play more than the ones who did play quite a bit against Green Bay. Let's put it that way.
He's a good decision maker. He can take information, analyze it and make a decision. He has a lot of confidence, communicates well and has a good relationship with everybody he works with.
There certainly haven't been many times in the last few years where you release a player and say, 'Well, this guy couldn't help us. This guy just couldn't do anything,' ... It's more a case of you have a few spots and you have more people than you do spots. So then you have to make a decision as to where you want your depth. Do you want it on the offensive line, do you want it in the kicking game, do you want it in the secondary, do you want it at tackle, do you want it at receiver, do you want it at quarterback?
We?ve got a lot of personnel decisions to make and we need to get things organized as we prepare for next Thursday, ... It?s tough to comment on how individual people did. We?ll have to take a look at the tapes first.
Each decision will be done on a case-by-case basis and we'll make the decision we feel is best for the New England Patriots football team.
We'll take a look at Tom's situation and we'll make an evaluation there. We'll talk about that and make the decision later on in the week. We'll just have to wait and see.
We'll make that decision when we're sure we're not going to have to double back on it. We'll make it when we're sure it's going to be the right decision for that point in time.
There were certainly some very questionable decisions in that game. I'm surprised that was a playoff crew.
Guys that you know you're going to have to make a decision on (soon), you better figure out what extra information you can get between now and then to help you with that decision.
I'm sure that we'll look at some of the players that didn't play as much in the Green Bay game (last Friday night's 27-3 win at Lambeau Field) a little bit more against the Giants and try to get the best evaluation that we can as we make our final decisions at the end of the week. I'm sure that the players who didn't play as much against Green Bay will play more than the ones who did play quite a bit against Green Bay. Let's put it that way.
We were prepared to play him a little bit less, but he's in good condition. He was doing fine on the sideline.
We missed you earlier. We're going to fine you for that, take it out of your last check,
We?re going to try to take advantage of the extra time this week in terms of meetings, and trying to go through some things we feel like, the last six weeks, teams have repeatedly tried to attack us. Those are things we can address and try to improve on.
We're going to approach this as a normal week. We're treating this week just like every other week this year in terms of our preparation for the game.
