business hit low next root tree tried
I didn't have any business being over there. I was right next to a root and should have just chipped it out sideways. I tried to hit it low enough to get around the root, but it just popped up, hit the tree and went into the creek.

I felt that I had a few miracles out here happen. I have to chip and putt here. That's the only way I can get around, I'm hitting such long shots to the greens.
birdie bomb bunker five front hit iron left nice short
I made a really pretty birdie at 10, hit a nice five iron in there to about 10 feet. I made a bomb at 16 that was about 50 feet. Then I got up and down at 17 from the front right bunker and 18, I got it up and down from short of the left bunker.

I've somehow proved to myself there's a way around here. This has always been my favorite place.

There's no other golf course like this, anywhere -- never has been. The greens and the challenges on and around the greens are just super, super tough, and you have to manage shots. There's nothing stylized about it all.
