balanced rhythm thinking
I'm still thinking rhythm and balance. Just a rhythmical, balanced swing.
happy start time watching
There are a lot of us who are happy we've had our time and it's time to start watching a bit.
greatest hole par reason road
The reason the Road Hole is the greatest par 4 in the world is because it's a par 5!
designed difficult hole par reason road
The reason the Road hole at St. Andrews is the most difficult par 4in the world is that it was designed as a par 6.
almost continue course fun great love matter nice seen takes week
Well, I'd love to continue to see (the course) dry. I think a super-long course would almost be a little too much, but I don't know. It's very remote, as I said (after the first round). I don't know where this week is going to lead, but I've had so much fun playing. I've seen some great things happen. That's always nice no matter what you're doing. I'm just going to kind of see where it takes me this week.
ball change definitely help
We'll have to change gears. It's definitely going to help the long- ball hitters.
achievement cannot gotten imagine personal
There is nothing like it. You cannot imagine what it's like. It's a personal achievement and you feel like you've gotten through something very difficult.
takes week
I don't know where this week is going to lead, but I've had so much fun. I'm just going to kind of see where it takes me.
execute good round
I am disappointed. I didn't execute shots. I'm going to try to retrieve this round and have a good back nine.
wish
I wish to say it was different, but it's doubtful.
shot target
But the shot has to be perfect. The target is very small.
change facets fall forever formal golfer history love summer texas tournament
So in the summer of 1968, a young golfer from Texas experienced something that would forever change his life. Not only did I fall in love with formal tournament competition, but I was enraptured with so many other facets of the game; the different courses, the people, the history and traditions.
assure clubs course deal defense greens hope huge length main matter playing short
Length is always going to get its due. Playing shorter clubs into these greens makes a huge difference, I can assure you. But, really, no matter how long or short the course plays, you have to deal with these greens. They have been the main defense of this course, and always will be. I hope they never change, because they are fascinatingly complex.
attacks ben bit golf great played
There is a little bit of Ben Hogan in that swing. The way he attacks the ball. He's played some great golf in his career.
