I have probably given him too many minutes. Sometimes fatigue sets in, and the first thing it affects is your shot. I have faith he will knock some of those shots down.

He's really gaining confidence. His health, for one, has contributed to his confidence and number two, having some success knocking down shots. That goes a long way. He's been challenged and he's answered those challenges. To take a step, you've either got to challenge yourself or answer the challenges that have been thrown at you, and he's done that.

I didn't know that. But if anybody can do it, Leon is certainly capable. He takes pride in rebounding.

I can promise you that's a deceiving record. They're going to be a player in this league before it's over.

I don't see anybody stepping up as the dominant team, but I see no team showing any particular weakness. There will be a lot of teams scrambling at the end for the championship.

In my opinion, those were questionable judgments in those situations. If he had gotten a couple of those 'and-1s,' I think there would have been a different flow.
alex basketball cal extend great harder nobody pleased works
I'm pleased that we were able to extend a scholarship to Alex for this season. Nobody works any harder than Alex, and he is a great representative of a Cal basketball student-athlete.
beat chris felt somebody
If somebody was going to beat us in that situation, it wasn't going to be Chris Hernandez. We felt we couldn't let him do it.
