I was trying to figure out what the heck I was doing. I wanted to get in there and run and obviously play some defense. We've got a young team but that's not an excuse. We've got a lot of young players that just haven't grasped it yet but we'll get there.

You can call whatever you want against us, but it's got to be the same at both ends. When there's contact going to the basket, they call fouls. That's fine. But when my guys go to the basket and there's contact, it should be a foul. It's just that simple. When that doesn't occur, then obviously there's a problem there.

There are a lot of ways to win basketball games, and obviously the easiest way is to score points. But when you don't do that, there are other things that you can do -- hustle plays like the tip-in or the rebounds on the free throws. We played a number of games with only six guys, and obviously had some success. Roles, not only are they changing and they're being defined, but the guys are trying to adjust. It's not always as simple as you like.

He's got great hands. He's a tough young man who has a tremendous amount of determination. I mean, his determination is really what makes him the player he is. He's obviously got good qualities - he's got good touch around the basket - but it's his work ethic that allows him to be the quality player he is. I'm just saying I don't think there are many players that play with that type of intensity, particularly freshmen.

We just stayed out of trouble all day and tried to keep the fenders on that thing. We were right there in the top-10. That was just Skinner luck.

We weren't patient enough. We settled. There were some opportunities on the perimeter, but you don't have to settle for the shot. You can still drive the ball to the basket. That's the strength of our club.
