When the BC job came open I was interested. I knew the program and its history of coaches from both as a player and a coach. I thought I could leave my mark here and I always felt BC could be more consistent in having its coach. BC was going through a cleansing period and I think I needed one, too.

You can call whatever you want against us, but it's got to be the same at both ends. When there's contact going to the basket, they call fouls. That's fine. But when my guys go to the basket and there's contact, it should be a foul. It's just that simple. When that doesn't occur, then obviously there's a problem there.

I think both of them were kind of rusty. It's been a while since both of them were on the mound. They weren't wild and I've seen them pitch better, but they still did a good job.

The level of competition is fairly equal. I think there is a lot of credibility that goes with both tournaments. For us, the location is what the difference is, but now is the time where you just focus on what's going on on the floor.

We just stayed out of trouble all day and tried to keep the fenders on that thing. We were right there in the top-10. That was just Skinner luck.

We weren't patient enough. We settled. There were some opportunities on the perimeter, but you don't have to settle for the shot. You can still drive the ball to the basket. That's the strength of our club.

We went flat and started coasting after the 7-1 lead after two innings. But I thought we played pretty good for the first game of the season.

We try to change it up, the way we play defense during the game.

We expected them to give us a good game. I thought this would be a great challenge for us, and that proved to be correct.
