At this point in the season, we're looking for ways to take the talented players we have and make sure they play as many innings as possible. Everything will reveal itself, but it's going to take time to see how it all pans out.

We have the same right to fail as any other team, regardless of the past. We're going to play to have fun and play with energy. The fun comes out when you develop expectations.

We look at fall practice as an introduction to the personalities on our team and a way to get to know the people involved. We are also not trying to defend the National Championship, but instead going out and playing the game, which is a lot easier said than done. We are talking to the players about the importance of enjoying the process without feeling the external pressures of trying to live up to something.

After we scored those runs we moved through the game with less focus. After the fourth inning we played with less effectiveness, but I still think the players felt they were in control of the game.

Sometimes when people overcome something difficult, it makes them appreciate other things on a higher level. Bradley is very conscientious, and his accountability is impeccable. He's taken what some people see as a negative and turned it into a positive.
