based best both games premise teams three traveling weather
The premise is you want to try and get the games in over three days. Both teams opted that not traveling (Friday) was for the best based on the weather projections.
game
It's the game that we're playing, not the opponent.
baseball farthest game sour
That's the farthest he's gone, and I didn't want the game to end for him on a sour note. There's a lot of baseball left.
ball bottom dominated game great hitting pitcher separated side strike
That really separated the game. On the other side of it, their pitcher really dominated the game by hitting the bottom part of the strike zone. When we did hit the ball hard, they made some great plays.
energy game less played three
We responded really well to the three runs. As the game went on we played with less energy and effectiveness.
anybody best game winning works
Well, that works for anybody who can do it. There's not a Longhorn stamped on it. That's called winning baseball, and it was our best game of the year.
game kids played rhythm timing work
Timing and rhythm are things we have to work on. These kids aren't machines. They have feelings; they have emotions. This isn't a game played by robots.
games
At this point, with 10 losses, all of our games are important.
control felt fourth game less moved played players runs
After we scored those runs we moved through the game with less focus. After the fourth inning we played with less effectiveness, but I still think the players felt they were in control of the game.
belong games glad hits judge number team three wins won
I'm glad they don't judge wins by the number of hits each team has. This weekend, we won three games but it didn't belong to us. Every inning was a battle.
almost beginning concentration consistency extremely framework game govern higher level looked rules second separated style supposed team teams within won
The first game (Saturday) we didn't play very well and we still won the game, 5-3. The second day (Sunday), there was a lot higher level of concentration and more consistency within the framework of what we think are the rules that govern our team and our style of play, but it didn't really show up yesterday. Today, it did show up. The two teams really separated themselves. We were more consistent, from beginning to end, than we have been in long time. It's extremely encouraging...It almost looked easy. That's the way it's supposed to look when it's well done.
game matter
You've got to play the game and play it consistently no matter who you're playing.
broke finally game ice innings laughing players won
The game was 20 innings and it was cold. We finally won it when the players started getting delirious. They got to laughing and that's what broke the ice - literally.
maybe
We think he's going to be OK. It would make sense to go in the same order. But maybe we won't be able to.
