We played so well down the stretch, ... To end in this fashion, it's disappointing. I played great baseball this year, and I played like a dog the last five games.
We came into this game with a lot of confidence. We felt like could play well and dominate this game. That's the one thing about baseball. You can't predict what's going to happen.
We have a hungry bunch. We've had it since spring training on. I see a different attitude.
We have to look at the positives. Randy pitched well, our pitchers are pitching well, our bats were better tonight and we just have to make plays.
That was a tougher play, mine was an easy play, ... I thought it was actually a base hit.
That will never end. Maybe when I retire it will stop. I use it as a motivation.
That's the only reason I play baseball. It's what I'm consumed to do right now.
I was very impressed. He's got good stuff and he's very poised.
I was expecting a hit or a double, but I wasn't expecting a home run. You don't want to get greedy.
I think Randy is going to have a great year because he's in a great state of mind, has had a wonderful spring, and, I know from experience that in Year 2, the comfort level should be a lot better for him. I know it was for me.
I think defence, for the most part, being a balanced player and also saving a lot of runs on the defensive side, I think was a major factor here. To me, defence is foremost. It's always been. The White Sox showed us this year pitching and defense wins to this day.
I think most of us were flabbergasted by not knowing any of these bracket systems.
It doesn't mean anything unless you come in and play well tomorrow. It's obviously better to have a one-game lead than a tie, but we still have to come out here and play an important game tomorrow night.
I think I'm going to have to take a look in the mirror, ... I didn't do my part.
