Racing the 24 Hours was something I wanted to do, but I'd been waiting for the right opportunity. There are a lot of good drivers and car combinations. Steve called with a chance to co-drive a potential winner.

It was excellent. We had a great car all weekend. We made a good change there on the second stop. Went back out. The car was solid, and we were able to hang on to third. Didn't have quite enough to try and make a run on the leaders, but I could catch Buddy and sustain it, but wasn't able to be offensive. I'm really happy with the podium. It's our first podium of the season. Pretty positive for the team, and we'll build upon it for the next race in Chicago.

Once we went green, the car handled beautifully. We were flat out until the end. We showed some really good speed.
car demand excited feels indy since sure time
In one sense, this is the most demand for me since I've been in an Indy car and that feels really, really good, but I don't want to get too excited if nothing comes together. I want to make sure I'm there at the right time to get the right opportunity.

The first thing I wondered about when I looked at the cars was the visibility. But it is much better than I thought it would be. The mirrors are good and the sight lines out of the car are good.

It was a long day for us. Nothing seemed to click once the race started. I'm not quite sure what it was, but we just need to go back and look at the data to see why we weren't quick, especially at the beginning of our stints. I was sliding around quite a bit, and had a couple of long slides on restarts. We had a bit of a problem early making a wing adjustment during our first stop, and I spun late. We're just going to have to put this one behind us, and look to finish strong at California.
couple difficult front next run since smaller start struggle teams
The smaller teams now find it difficult to run up front in the IRL. A couple of teams that have been there with the IRL since the start are going to struggle to be there next year.
integral last offense past state three time work
That's very special, and he's been a real integral part of our offense the past three years. To work with him one last time and working with the other All-Stars in the state is an honor.

We do not believe investors should extrapolate the William Lyon orders to mean demand in Southern California is falling off.
good pacific races region understand
I don't understand having no races in the Pacific Southwest. The region has always been pretty good to us. Hopefully, it's a one-year thing.

I am just here taking this all in. They are doing a great job of working with me, trying to prepare me and things like that. Hopefully I can put it all together and be successful.
