offense tough
It's tough to explain. We know we have a better offense than that.
change close offense scheme territory tough
It's tough to explain. We just couldn't finish. We'd get close down to their territory and they'd get a big sack. That would change the whole scheme of things. We know we have a better offense than that.
bad breath catch field giving guys hardly offense putting
For one, we were putting (our defensive) guys in bad field position. And another thing, we weren't giving them any breaks. Those guys need to be able to go on the sidelines, catch their breath and regroup. When the offense is going three-and-out, it's like (the defense) has hardly been off the field.
everybody good team zero
We're zero and zero, just like everybody else. We feel we have a pretty good team here, and we've got to keep doing the things we're doing.
ourselves playing pressure putting relaxed
We're not putting pressure on ourselves like this is a must, must win. (Because) then we're not playing relaxed and loose. We're playing tense.
total
But we had 500 or something total yards, so we're not about that.
base felt good running time
It felt like every time I was running I didn't have a good base under me,
confidence guys job matter regardless tight
Really, (the huddle) doesn't change. Not with us. Guys know we can get the job done. We don't ever get tight in there. That's probably because of the personalities in there. Regardless of what's going on, we have the confidence that we can get it done no matter what the circumstances.
last
I think it's ideal, I like it. You can never have enough backs. Especially after last year.
ball instead iowa trying using win
I can't really play with Iowa too much, because you don't want to play using yourself. When you play using yourself, you try to get yourself the ball every play instead of trying to win it.
pushed saw
When you saw us getting pushed back over things that were non-existent ... come on. I don't know what to say about that.
beat care college five football hurts level team three
Three points, five turnovers, I don't think you could beat any college football team - I don't care what level it is - with that kind of performance. It's uncharacteristic of us, and that's what hurts the most.
When you're in there, you know you've got to do something,
ball running starts tick time
When you're running the ball so successfully and getting a lot of five-, eight-, 12-yard gains, after a while that time starts to tick away. If we could do that every game, that would be ideal.
