Alan Stuart Trammellis an American former professional baseball shortstop for the Detroit Tigers. He currently serves as a special assistant to the Detroit Tigers. Trammell, nicknamed "Tram", played his entire career with the Tigers, highlighted by a World Series championship in 1984 and an American League East division championship in 1987. Even though he hasn't hit that well against left-handers, we want to get him some playing time. He's opened some eyes -- what he's done hasn't been ordinary.

Omar hasn't been swinging all that well. He's hit a lot of pop-ups. I still think Omar will get more of the time, but it's going to be split up a little more, and I'll go with the hot hand.

First and third with one out, we needed to put that ball in play and we didn't. Not being able to get that hit and run down there kills us. He got the breaking ball, then he swung through it.

I thought we responded to everything well except for this last month. I think, looking back, it is fair to say that we hit a wall.

This guy is a good contact hitter. He can put the ball in play. He hit 17 home runs last year. He's a good hitter, and he's a good infielder.

Going back to July, we had a pretty good month, ... Shelton was hitting third and Pudge was hitting sixth.

(Graffanino's) hit us whether he's been with the Royals, White Sox, Boston. He seems to always get on base, some how, some way. He's been a thorn in our side.

We got pounded tonight, no question. Jeremy (Bonderman) was not sharp and fell behind hitters. It just wasn't his night. They got back on track and we just couldn't stop them.
