Alan Stuart Trammellis an American former professional baseball shortstop for the Detroit Tigers. He currently serves as a special assistant to the Detroit Tigers. Somewhere after the All-Star break he started dropping down a little more, especially to the right-handed hitters. He has just been pitching lights-out. He's tough. There's no question about it. He was the story of the game tonight.

We haven't had too many of these games lately. Carlos comes out right from the get-go with a home run, and it seemed to kind of snowball from there.

With the options we have right now, Sean remains our best one, even though he's not pitched well and it hasn't been pretty lately. I think he's capable in my mind -- he's pitched some good games -- but I think his confidence right now is a big part of it.

Hopefully we can get his pitch count up so he can go deeper into the game the next time out. He'll be limited the first time out, though. We can't let him go 100 pitches.

We got pounded tonight, no question. Jeremy (Bonderman) was not sharp and fell behind hitters. It just wasn't his night. They got back on track and we just couldn't stop them.
