bat bit easier easy hoping pitch played stay yesterday
I just went out there hoping to stay on for as long as possible. It was not very easy to bat yesterday but I thought the pitch played a bit easier today.
focused played saving
On reflection, I think I was too focused on saving the game, ... I should have played naturally. I was too entrenched in a match-saving mindset.
play ms-dhoni pay
The best compliment for me is when someone says they'll pay to watch me play, And I can say that I'll pay to watch MS Dhoni bat. MS is not the next Gilchrist. He's the first MS Dhoni
bat bowling game hoping obviously plan playing plenty
It was a seaming wicket, plenty of moisture there. We take the game plan in of playing two spinners, obviously hoping to bat first and have them bowling on day five.
involved needs nuts players priorities whoever
We have to get our priorities right. It is important that selectors, administrators, players and whoever else needs to be involved sits down and nuts that out.
allowing difficult england playing whether work
Whether it's us not playing well or England not allowing us to play well it's a difficult one to work out,
control destiny faith few matter player series successful work
It is just a matter of doing the work and having faith in what has been successful for me in the past. Very few series come down to one man. I don't think one player is going to control the destiny of the Ashes.
certainly consistent cricket days england match played position pressure sees sit
We're certainly under pressure again. England have played consistent cricket for two days in this match and have certainly played more consistent cricket than us in the series. That sees us in another challenging position that we'll have to sit down and think about it.
bit covers exploited gave given looked movement time
In hindsight, given the way they used the ball, there was enough on offer. It looked like it was going to be a bat-first wicket. But that time under the covers just gave the wicket that little bit of movement and they exploited it very well.
far opinion
Everyone is going to have an opinion and Dennis is a long way far removed from the team,
activities distracted fresh job limited number remain
In 2001, we also got distracted by doing a number of endorsements. By 2004 we limited off-field activities so as to remain fresh and concentrate on the job at hand.
carry familiar form great hopefully territory
It's great to be back on familiar territory and hopefully I can carry over my form from the end of the VB Series.
bit dive glory looking risk time walk
They are the things you've got to live with and that's the risk you take every time you walk out there and every time you dive for one. You risk glory or you risk looking like a bit of a goose.
confidence
They'll take a lot of confidence from it, but so did we.
