You realize that baseball isn't your life any more. It's part of it, it's not your life. That's one of the biggest changes I've gotten from it.

There's a lot more important things in life than baseball and she's definitely it, ... It's tough to leave her. But it's the job I have. Sometimes it's tough. Sometimes you have to be away from home.

bit early finally game middle pitch stay struggling swung trying
I'm just trying to stay more in the middle of the field, to give myself a better chance. I was struggling a little bit early in the game -- trying to find it a little bit. That time, I got a pitch and finally swung at it good. It's just one of things that went my way.
bat consistent stay trying zone
I'm just trying to stay a little more consistent and get my bat through the zone a little better and give myself a chance.
career luckily might surgery taken time whether
It was my first time and you don't know how to take that. Whether it's going to be career threatening or if it's something that you got to have surgery on where you might not be able to play. It was luckily something that could be taken care of.

biggest game hit middle nobody pressure single spot third
Actually, I think the biggest at-bat of that whole inning was Quintero's. He got the single up the middle, and we went first-to-third there. Now, we got first and third and nobody out. We got pressure on them. That was a big spot in the game to come up with that hit up the middle with two strikes.

I was going to glove it at first, and when it hit it kind of checked up, and the next thing that went through my head was (to) make sure the ball doesn't go underneath my hand because the guy could score. I just happened to get a great grip on the ball and threw the guy out.
bit ease knowing last nice pitchers scoring start year
Last year we didn't start too well on the road, and it's nice to get off to a better start. Knowing that we're scoring some runs, it's always nice to put our pitchers at ease a little bit and let them relax.
