arm definitely felt good nice pitches sixth strength
The arm strength and stamina's there. I felt good in the sixth inning, made some good pitches and got them 1-2-3. It's definitely nice to go out there in the sixth and put up a zero.

I don't know how many months or days it's been. It's nice to get back on the horse.
behind good nice offense team
This is a good 1-2-3 and I think the team is really good on paper. It's going to be nice to have this offense behind me. If I can get it done, they'll get the big hits. There are some good gloves, too.

Toward the end of September, the finger was pretty much gone from the mind, and pitches were starting to come back to where they were. I felt good about going into the postseason, but obviously came up short.

That was definitely frustrating, rushing back and trying to help the team any way I can. I look forward to San Diego and facing them, show them what they missed.

I still haven't been able to find a baseball player who has had this. You think about elbows, shoulders, ankles, knees, but this is definitely a different thing.

Judging by how it was last year, I'd say I'm going to miss more than a few starts.

I'd been waiting a few years to get to that point, put a bunch of hard work in. Seeing the fruits of my labor pay off the way they were and just having kind of a freak injury prevent that from continuing was frustrating.

My fastball command was pretty poor, but the cutter was pretty good. The first inning had good points and bad points. Mostly, the execution wasn't there at all. For me, it's trying to get mechanics down to be consistent, and today I wasn't consistent.
ego good guys themselves
I feel good about it. The clubhouse, all the guys have made themselves available. There is not a lot of ego in here, which is really nice. Everybody's able to be themselves and just have a good time. I feel really good about this team.

If Bonds is the circus, then whatever they call that stadium now is going to be a three-ring circus. It's going to be a stage now for him to come out.

This was 10 times better than my last start. My location on my fastball was much, much better.

We've worked on that a few times. I heard a whistle from their dugout, and decided to step off and do a first-and-third move to see what happens. The runner from first had his head down ... the runner on third got caught too far off.
definitely great hill longer pulled ride roller took top
It's definitely been a roller coaster. I got pulled to the top of that first hill and it was a great ride down. Unfortunately, the ride took a lot longer to get up on top of the hill again.
